Hayley Williams blasts Christian music industry amid Michael Tait allegations

Hayley Williams calls exploitation and abuses in the Christian music industry.

Williams has many links with the contemporary Christian music industry. She grew up in Nashville, the main basis of the genre, and his teammate of Paramore Taylor York is the son of Peter York, Chairman and CEO of Capitol Christian Music Group.

“No one other than the tiktker who broke this story said a word on Michael Tait requiring support saying gays,” wrote Williams. “Because it is a man who is the whole identity of faith built on a defective structure of self -hatred, to please a system that prefers to cover odious behavior for more than 20 years (and make money) rather than accepting that being gay is not the problem.”

Williams then explained his familiarity with the Christian music industry. “I grew up around it,” she wrote. “I am not afraid of any of these people – most of them have dislodged me again. [sic] On the faith and vulnerability of people, is “sin” “sin”?

Williams concluded: “I hope the CCM industry collapses. And F — You all who know and did not do anything. I bet I have your number. And BTW, if you are not angry too, then maybe it’s time to wonder why.”

Tait took importance in the 1990s as a member of the Christian Rap-Rock DC Talk group. He then played with his group was in the late 90s and 2000 before becoming the leader of journalists in 2009. Tait appeared in four of the six God is not dead Confessional films and have courted the controversy for his constant support for Donald Trump.

I am ashamed of my life choices and my actions, and I will not make them any excuse. I will simply call it as God calls him – sin.”

Tait explained that he “had abruptly left journalists” in order to “get help”, writing that he “was not in good health, physically or spiritually”. The singer added that he had spent six weeks in treatment in Utah and that he has remained sober since that time.

“I have injured so many people in many ways, and I will live with this shameful reality the rest of my life,” wrote Tait. “I mean I’m sorry for everyone I injured.”

The guardian published his article on Tait, in which three men accused the singer of having assaulted them sexually on Thursday. Two of the men said they thought they were drugged during their respective meetings with the singer.

“This person stole a small piece of our souls,” said one of the accusers at the point of sale.
