Mikaela Mayer warns Lauren Price: The longer you wait for undisputed title fight, the better I’m getting | Boxing News

Mikaela Mayer thinks that the undoubted world championship fight with Lauren Price will happen, even if it had no time she had hoped.

But Mayer had a warning for its rival champion.

“The longer the Lauren price, the better I am,” said Mayer Sky Sports. “Don’t leave it too much longer, I’m just going to get better and better.”

Mayer is the Titlist World World World WBO. After losing a close majority decision against IBF champion Natasha Jonas, she beat Sandy Ryan to win the WBO belt.

With a controversial painting attack against Ryan Marring his first fight, Mayer repeated a victory on the points over the Briton in their revenge in May.

“It was just an overview of what I worked on and I will just continue to improve,” said Mayer, previously a unified world champion with a super-pum weight.

“My biggest goal was to go there and beat her better. Because there were skeptics after this first fight, even if I feel like I beat her deeply, I never want no one to question my victory, I don’t like that.

“I did the right thing. I’m glad I got out in mind and I’m happy to prove it with an even better performance.”

Lauren Price beat Jonas in an almost perfect performance at the Royal Albert Hall in March to unify WBC, IBF and WBA titles.

The next natural fight is for Price and Mayer meets in an undisputed fight to unify the four major Welter weight belts.

But it is a competition that may not take place until later in the year. “If it would have been in July, it would have been good because we were both fighting,” said Price. “Now we look in September, October to fight, I don’t know.

“I think we are going [fight]. I don’t think there will be a problem to do it later.

“I hope we can do something by September,” she added. “I want to try to tighten in three fights this year.”

Price is an Olympic gold medalist, which has shown little weakness so far in his professional career. But Mayer is not inaugurated.

“She always trains with the GB team, therefore, for me, she still has a lot of amateur attributes,” said Mayer about Price. “It can always be delicate, she is a left -hander, she likes to move.

“I think I really settled in a more professional style. So it will be interesting, I also have more professional experience.

“I have all the experience in the world, I feel confident, stronger than ever, I am healthier than ever. I think it will be a big fight.

“I don’t think Jonas understood his movement and how to close this space. But if you saw my style-this space is closed at some point,” she continued. “It will be good whatever happens, once it happens.

“It will eventually happen.”

But if Mayer has to wait longer than expected, she will first envisage an alternative fight, perhaps even a revenge match with Natasha Jonas.

“Although she does not have the best performance against Lauren, I still wouldn’t mind winning this victory on my case,” said the American.

“I never like to count the fighters and remove them is on them and what they feel. Maybe she just had a bad day, maybe she couldn’t understand Lauren’s movement.

“Other names, Chantelle Cameron and other things, they are all girls with whom we can potentially fight if it is difficult to conclude the agreement.”

His goal is ultimately Lauren Price. “I don’t want to take too long, so we will do what we have to do,” said Mayer, “but ultimately Lauren Price is definitely number one for me.

“I want to go undisputed, I want to check this and finish what I started.

“It would be very satisfactory for me and from there, they are just big fights. Big Money Fights, legacy of the fights.”
