Garden of Eden continued his progress to provide coach Aidan O’Brien with a sixth record victory in the Ribblesdale Stakes in Royal Ascot.

The Ballydoyle manager selée three runners in the group two competition, with Ryan Moore is reassuring with Garden of Eden (7/1), who had trouble in successive group races in the spring, but raised his game to claim a price listed in Naas during his last appearance.

The jump from island was deployed in a role of rhythm, but its first efforts wreaked havoc at home turn, while Garden of Eden galloped at the forehand to mark three and quarter of the lining, with 2/1 of Catalina’s favorite Delcarpio in third.

O’Brien said: “I was impressed by this, I am delighted. She improves, which is great.

“We have always thought that intensifying it on a trip would help him and we set it up to a mile and a quarter on the last day and it has improved a lot.

“She is by Saxon Warrior and when they go up, they improve, so she manifestly improved for the step.

“Irish oaks would be a possibility, but it could also go to America for a year there, we will have to see.”
