Why Rod Stewart no longer considers Donald Trump a friend
Rod Stewart cannot call Donald Trump his friend.
The singer “do ya think i’s sexy”, who spoke with the president several times as a neighbor in Florida, recently said Radio time that there is a political decision that he cannot respect.
When he was asked if he still considered the 47th president a friend, Stewart replied: “No, I can’t anymore. As long as he sells weapons to the Israelis, and he is still. How is this war will never stop?”
The musician “I don’t want to talk about it” suddenly condemned the violent campaign of Israeli president Benjamin Netanyahu in Gaza. “Someone has to do something,” said Stewart. “What Netanyahu does to Palestinians is exactly what happened to the Jews. It is an annihilation, and that’s all he wants to do – get rid of everyone. I don’t know how they sleep at night.”
Stewart explained that his house in Palm Beach, Florida, is remotely from Trump’s seaside resort. “I literally live a half-nozzle,” said the singer. “We are both on the beach. I was going to his Christmas holidays. He has always been a little man. I loved him for that.”
However, Stewart noted that part of Trump’s behavior alarmed him. “He has not treated women very well,” he said. “But since he became president, he has become another guy. Someone I didn’t know.”

Stewart previously laughed at Trump during a 2024 concert in Las Vegas, displaying four photos of his open boyfriend with an increasingly orange complexion and a message on the screen: “I did not know that it was orange until a certain number of years ago, when he became orange. I respect one or the other but he obviously does not think that everyone should not look at that.”
The “Orange” joke came in response to Trump falsely claiming that Kamala Harris “became black” using a similar phrasing.
In the Radio time Interview, Stewart said the gag did not go well with its audience. “I had a little joke about him when he had all the tan, you know, the orange man. And:” Boooo! “”

After being knight by Prince William in 2016, Stewart said he didn’t think Trump had been cut for the oval office. “Although he is somehow one of my friends, I don’t think he is presidential,” he said, according to the Daily mail. “I don’t think it is done to become president.”
After the United States has left the Paris Agreement – the international agreement designed to help curb climate change – Stewart had harder words for the president.
“This white house bite, withdrawing from the Paris agreement is terrible,” said the singer on the How to amaze Podcast in 2020. “I think the good Lord intends to erase all of us because we have spoiled the earth. We have spoiled it. I think it is too late to go back now.”
