Netball Super League Grand Final: London Pulse edge out Loughborough Lightning in thriller | Netball News

London Pulse reached the great final of the Super League in 2025 with a major 50-49 victory in the semi-finals on Loughborough Lightning.

Pulse retaliated with a deficit of six goals in the fourth quarter to seal the victory in an absorbent dam confrontation.

Olivia Tchine was the hero while she was holding her nerve to deliver the goods in the last five minutes to turn the game on her head and send her side to the O2 on July 6.

“It’s incredible,” said Captain Zara Everitt. “It was such a high -end game, but we finish it and it shows the maturity and determination of the team.

“We know [the Grand Final] is the big one. It’s great to have the other two distinctions, it really celebrates the success we have known throughout the season, but we really want this final trophy. We will work hard in the next two weeks to try to get it. “”

Lightning through the preliminary final

Loughborough Lightning will face Manchester Thunder in the preliminary final after beating London Mavericks 79-49 in the minor semi-final in beautiful view.

Thunder opened an advance of 20 goals at halftime and moved away from the fine combination game of Paige Reed and Lois Pearson.

“It was really good,” said Pearson. “We knew that it was going to be a difficult match, after last week, we knew that they would come back to fight, but happy that we obtained the victory.

“I am very happy personally, I am only back only two games, which means that I receive another match.

“I feel good. I had a lot of support from Thunder and England and we slowly resume my minutes, but it feels good to be back there.”
