‘America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’: Where are they now?
Hustle, heartbreak, and teamwork reign on America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, which recently wrapped its second season on Netflix.
The docuseries follows the rookies and veterans of the DCC through auditions, training camp, and the NFL season itself. Cheers are shouted and tears are spilled under the seasoned tutelage of DCC director Kelli Finglass and head choreographer Judy Trammell.
But it’s the cheerleaders themselves who headline the series and seek to lead the team to a brighter, more equitable future. After approaching the organization’s leadership, the squad was granted a 400 percent pay increase.
“It’s a big moment for women in sports,” squad member Jada Mclean told TODAY following the news.
With the second season now streaming and confirmation of a season 3 still forthcoming, let’s check in on what the DCC faithful have been up to.
Abby Summers

Abby, an Ohio State University alum, landed a spot on the squad in July 2024. After a season of cheering, she toured Texas with her teammates while flaunting her jaw-dropping dance skills.
She remains close with Ava and Madie K. “From training camp not knowing the journey ahead to now!” she wrote in a post highlighting the trio. “We’ve made memories that will last a lifetime. Rookie season wouldn’t have been the same without you two by my side- laughs, tears, late-night talks, and everything in between. So grateful for this friendship and for the most unforgettable rookie banquet.”
Amanda Howard

Veteran squad member Amanda made waves this season when she confronted Finglass about being overlooked for public appearances. By season’s end, the former Rookie of the Year shocked fans and teammates when she decided to hang up her pom-poms and move on to other endeavors.
“Year 3 was my year of intention,” she wrote of her final season in an Instagram post. “The year I stopped trying to prove myself—and just was. I trusted my capabilities, reminded myself I was enough, and approached every dance with joy, every conversation with presence, and every tear with purpose.”
As of late, Amanda’s been traveling Italy and Switzerland with her husband and partnering with a number of different brands.
Anna Kate Sundvold

Since wrapping her second season on the squad, Anna Kate Sundvold turned 25 and, as you tend to do at that age, has bounced between several weddings, baby showers, and bachelorette parties. She continues to work as an investment advisor representative alongside her partnerships with Skin Pharm and other brands.
Ariel Brumfield

The squad’s newest Rookie of the Year, Ariel has been balancing her life on the field (and on tour) while teaching dance and earning a master’s degree in marketing from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, according to The Advocate. She graduated in May.
“Being a part of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and to now be living it — surrounded by the most inspiring, talented women — is a blessing I will never take for granted,” she wrote in a post celebrating her Rookie of the Year win.”
Armani Latimer
Netflix

Armani’s opening up about her alopecia areata diagnosis was one of the highlights of America’s Sweethearts season 2. She’s continued to share her story on social media and in podcast interviews since dancing for the first time without a wig last December.
After five years on the squad, Armani performed on the team’s Texas tour before moving on to other endeavors. “I couldn’t have thought of a better way to wrap up 5 years of being on this team than making/witnessing history!!!” she wrote in a post about the tour. “These are the moments with my insanely talented teammates that I will forever hold dear!”
Recently, she teamed up with Layna Walker, a former NBA dancer also diagnosed with alopecia areata, to help raise awareness about alopecia with the National Alopecia Areata Foundation.
Ava Lahey
Netflix

Rookie Ava’s first year with the Dallas Cowboys found her touring with the team, performing with Yellowstone actress and Grammy-nominated singer Lainey Wilson, and dancing at Netflix’s live boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, among other highlights.
Perhaps most exciting, though? In June, she got engaged.
Chandi Dayle
Netflix

After breaking a DCC rule by bringing an unknown man into her hotel room during a team trip to the Bahamas, veteran Chandi took a “leave of absence” from the team. When she returned, the former group leader no longer held her leadership responsibilities. By the end of the season, Chandi revealed she was leaving the team, describing the environment as “anxious.”
The season also found her opening up about her previous experiences with domestic violence, and she’s continued to speak up about the issue on her social media.
“I used to hide my past, afraid of judgment and shame,” she wrote in an October 2024 Instagram post. “Every day, I gain confidence and rediscover the girl I once was. I’m using my voice to stand up against domestic violence. As a survivor, I know I am more than my scars. Every story matters. Let’s stand united against domestic violence.”
Recently, Chandi has been partnering with several brands and recovering from hip surgery.
Charly Barby
Netflix
Instagram: @charly.barby
Charly made a comeback in season 2 of America’s Sweethearts, making the squad after falling short in season 1. She recently joined several of her teammates to bring “Thunderstruck” to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
“I know many of you have cried with me and felt the emotions I was feeling, all through a screen. I cannot put into words how much I truly truly take that to heart,” she wrote in an Instagram post about season 2. “To have had the opportunity to open up my life in such a raw and authentic way and then have that met with overwhelming support and compassion is something I carry with immense gratitude. I get choked up thinking about how my personal journey has the ability to inspire someone to go for their dream.”
Jada Mclean
Netflix
Instagram: @jadaboo0203
A true leader, Jada helped navigate the thorny path towards securing the squad a pay increase. Following the 2024-2025 season, she retired from DCC after five years on the squad, saying in an Instagram video, “I just know it’s time for me to hand those over and let another girl live out this dream. I’m ready to see what is next for me in life.”
In that same clip, she discussed a potential pivot into modeling. “I have thought about going into modeling after my DCC career comes to an end,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to just do DCC while I’m here. I have no experience. I am as amateur as they come in the world of modeling.”
Jada remains in the spotlight. In May, she served as a presenter at the Academy of Country Music Awards.
KayDianna MacKenzie
Netflix

KayDianna, a fourth-year veteran, left the squad during season 2. Her departure came amid tension, as she was suspended and “under investigation for being a bully and harassing” due to remarks she made about Chandi’s Bahamas incident on a TikTok Live.
During the suspension, she decided to leave the team. “After prayerful consideration, I have made the decision to step away from my role with the Dallas Cowboys organization,” she wrote in an April 2025 Instagram post. “While this was not the ending I had envisioned, it is one I felt led to make for myself, in full faith and peace. I’m deeply grateful for four unforgettable seasons — filled with growth, meaningful friendships, and memories that will stay with me forever.”
Since leaving the squad, KayDianna started a podcast, KayDianna’s Korner. “I just truly wanted this platform to really show that this is a place for everyone,” she said in an announcement video shared to Instagram. “This is a place where you can be yourself, this is a place where you can find friends, you can find family, you can take off the mask at the end of the day and just be you and not be afraid to be you and just have real talk, and you, me and someone else from time to time talking about life.”
She addressed her future in a June 2025 Instagram post celebrating her 26th birthday. “Life has been pretty hard lately, but I am beyond blessed and grateful for this journey God has me a part of,” she wrote. “I have been learning how to stand on my truth, finding my voice, seeing who my community truly is, but most importantly strengthening my relationship with God!”
Kayla Hayes
Netflix

Kayla H., a second-year veteran, was named Veteran of the Year following the latest season.
She reflected on her journey in a June 2025 post set against footage of her being called to join the squad. “When I heard my name called, every tear, every doubt, and every hour of hard work became worth it,” she wrote. “I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity and for the people who stood by me through it all. I truly have the most supportive, uplifting, and inspiring teammates — they reminded me of my worth and believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself. Watching this moment back is so special and will forever remember this day.”
She works to continue raising awareness and support for those with ovarian cancer, which she lost her grandmother to in 2017.
Kelly Villares
Netflix

Like Charly, Kelly V. enjoyed a season 2 comeback by making the squad after a close call in season 1. Since joining the DCC, the dancer has toured with the team and partnered with Victoria’s Secret.
Kelly V. and Charly remain close, though she has nothing but praise for the rest of her teammates. “This season has gifted me with memories and relationships I’ll cherish forever. I’ve learned so much — not just as a performer, but as a woman — and I’m endlessly grateful to be part of this sisterhood,” she wrote in an April post.
Kleine Powell
Netflix

Fourth-year veteran Kleine spent the spring backpacking across Europe with her husband, with stops in Italy, Switzerland, and Romania. She also made a stop with the United Service Organizations in Germany, where she got to “shake hands with America’s heroes.”
“So many special memories that I can’t wait to continue to share,” she wrote in a post. “From teaching kids camps on base, meeting extraordinary people, seeing ‘Big Windy,’ giving military coins and maybe receiving some too, and learning 2% of the German language over 10 days. I can’t express how much my heart aches for just 1 more day with these people in this place.”
Madie Krueger
Netflix

Young gun Madie K. was still a teenager when she scored a spot on the team. In a recent Instagram post reflecting on her debut season, she wrote, “I’ve grown in ways I didn’t even realize I needed — learning to be proud of who I am, to believe in myself even when it was hard, and to love stronger, because you never know what the person next to you is going through.”
In June 2025, she wished a happy 20th birthday to her boyfriend, “who makes me smile more than anything.”
Megan McElaney
Netflix

Fourth-year veteran Megan recently bought her first home with her partner and joined several of her teammates for a “Thunderstruck” routine on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Reece Weaver

Since wrapping her first year as a veteran, Reece danced with the squad on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and partnered with several brands, including Tarte Cosmetics, Maggiano’s, and Vaseline. She also attended the Academy of Country Music Awards, which she described as “an absolute dream.”
