Dillian Whyte is ‘irritated’ by Deontay Wilder and still wants to settle their bitter feud with a KO win | Boxing News
Dillian Whyte is “irritated” by Deontay Wilder and still wants to settle his bitter quarrel with a direct elimination victory.
Whyte was repeatedly denied a WBC world title fight against Wilder, although he is the NO 1 candidate of WBC for more than 1000 days.
The heavyweight rivals have exchanged insults for years and Whyte is impatient to exchange punches with Wilder, who returned with a seventh round of Tyrrell Anthony Herndon last Friday.
“He fought someone he had to beat,” said Whyte Sky Sports.
“Deontay Wilder seems to be a little absent with fairies in the past two years. Sometimes you can earn a lot of money, your state of mind can change, your lifestyle may change. It happened to me.
“Sometimes you can get away with the fairies a little, but he started winning again and there are a lot of big fights, so I don’t know what to say else.
“He is still someone I would like to fight. Still someone I think I can beat. I can knock him out like Joseph Parker, showed another guy, denounced him. Zhilei Zhang too.
“I don’t like Deontay Wilder. I do not want to continue to continue and irritate myself at this stage of life. I don’t like to irritate myself. I don’t like being irritated by things that will irritate me.
“I’m not going to say things and getting into an online battle with him about anything.
“If he has something to say then, say it to my face and we can face it there and then. I’m more on physical stuff than verbal stuff.”
Whyte is preparing for her next fight against her compatriot Brit Moses Itama in Saudi Arabia on August 16.
Itauma has been presented as a future world champion after 10 victories with direct elimination in its undefeated record of 12 fights, but Whyte thinks that her own attributes are neglected.
“Many people think:” He can’t win that, he’s not going to beat him. He is [Itauma] Too fast, it’s too much. I don’t think that.
“I just think, okay, there is all that but what can I do. I am also a big strong guy. I am as fast, I am also more embarrassing than people think. I am as better than people think.
“People could say that I am not the same wolf that I was once, but I am always a wolf. I have always been part of the pack and I always understand the pack mentality and the state of mind of the pack. Let’s go.”
