Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest 2025 odds, predictions: Betting expert reveals picks for Fourth of July event

After an absence of a year, Joey Chestnut is back and tries to find his crown when he participated in the famous Hot-Dogs restoration competition in Nathan in 2025 on Coney Island in New York on Friday. Chestnut, who has a plethora of competitive catering records, won this competition 16 times over a period of 17 years from 2007 to 23 before being prohibited from last year’s competition due to a sponsorship agreement which he signed with impossible Foods, a competitor of Nathan’s.

Chestnut established the record for most hot dogs and breads consumed in the Nathan 2021 competition when he ate 76 in 10 minutes. The 41-year-old Kentuckian is also the world record holder after eating 83 hot dogs and buns in a force 1 test against 1 with Kobayashi Takeu last year.

Now, Chestnut will try to resume the mustard belt – and the price of $ 10,000 – which was captured last year by Patrick Bertoletti, who consumed 58 hot dogs and breads. The other notable male competitors hoping to challenge the title are Geoffrey Esper, James Webb and Nick Wehry.

This year, more Sports manuals offer the possibility of betting on this competition as a famous hot dog eater, in particular Césars Sportsbook And Betmgm.

On the women’s side, Miki Sudo will compete for his fourth consecutive title and 11th in 12 years. Last year, the 39-year-old New Yorker set the new female record in the Nathan competition, when she devoured 51 hot dogs and breads. His biggest competition will probably come from Michelle Lesco, who took the crown in the absence of Sudo because of her pregnancy in 2021.

Chestnut is a huge favorite -2000 to win the Nathan 2025 hot dog feeding competition at Sportsbook DraftkingsWhile Bertoletti is +1200. Sportsline expert Matt Severance revealed his analysis, choices and predictions for this year’s competition.

Severance is a well -connected writer and a high volume handicapper that has worked in industry since 2005. After joining Sportsline, he quickly established himself as a high -level expert in several sports.

A sports basic food for the holidays of July 4 – if you consider the competition to eat a sport, which I do not do – is the famous Hot -Dogs catering competition from Nathan held outside the original location of Nathan in Coney Island in New York. The female competition begins Friday at 11 a.m. and the men closer to 12:30 p.m. the male and female champions receive $ 10,000 each.

What is new this year on ESPN television is “CAMS” for the best competitors Miki Sudo on the female side and Joey Chestnut on men. During the event, participants must eat as many famous Nathan hot dogs in the rolls as they can in a period of 10 minutes. Water and other drinks are allowed to help wash things. The condiments are allowed, but I do not remember a candidate using one.

The return of Chestnut is the major story of this year, because it is the largest star in sport and a 16-time champion of this event, including consecutively from 2016-23. “Jaws” was banished from the 2024 competition after signing an agreement with impossible foods which called it to approve the hot dogs based on the company’s plants.

Nathan has counted this as direct competition to his all-faire. Chestnut has since agreed to approve only Nathan’s hot dogs. Joey Chestnut’s file to eat 76 hot dogs was established in 2021, when the competition was moved elsewhere in the New York region due to capacity restrictions and other health and safety protocols after the cocovated pandemic.

The chances that the record of 76 is broken this year or at +215, without set at -275, and I recommend the chestnut away last year, Patrick “Deep Dish” Bertoletti won the competition with a better personal brand of 58 hot dogs eaten.

It is really unnecessary to bet the chestnut at -2000 to win, so a better solution would be Bertoletti to +155 in the winner without chestnut market. Bertoletti’s Over / Under takes place at 51.5 hot dogs and he is -160 on the head against James Webb (+130), who ate 52 last year.

Most books do not even offer ratings on the winner of women because Sudo is the Joey chestnut of this sex. Sudo holds the 51 hot dog’s world record eaten last year, when she won Nathan’s title for the 10th time.

However, Sudo did not exceed 42 hot dogs by winning the previous two years, so I like less than 45.5 for her on Friday at -105. I would also recommend Nick Wehry at -165 on the head against Sudo (+130), who happens to be his wife.
