Donald Trump soundalike delivers pro-immigrant speech in Bad Bunny video

Bad Bunny supports the community of immigrants in a new video clip – and uses a familiar voice to transmit his message.

The Puerto Rican pop superstar abandoned the video of “Nuevayol”, the opening piece of her new album Debí Tirar Más FotosJuly 4. About three -quarters of the path through the video, the song stops, while the video shows four men listening to a boombox.

The Boombox does not play music, however, it is rather a speech delivered by a voice that almost exactly looks like Donald Trump.

“I made a mistake,” said the voice. “I want to apologize to immigrants in America. I mean the United States, I know that America is the whole continent. I mean that this country is nothing without immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans -”

The four men then shake their heads, turn off the boombox and move away.

The speech does not correspond to any of the public addresses of the 47th president which can be found online (and its pro-immigrant message certainly does not correspond to the anti-immigrant rhetoric of Trump), it is therefore sure to suppose that it is not In fact A recording of the real Trump.

This means that the video has recreated Trump’s voice, probably using one of the two methods: an actor in the voice impression of the president or an AI program simulating his voice. The representatives of Bad Bunny did not immediately respond Weekly entertainmentclarification request.

Aside from the provocative Boombox scene, the video “Nuevayol” also contains a multitude of animated images, including a bad rabbit suspended the Puerto Rican flag of the head of the Statue of Liberty and a long sequence of the singer attending a quinceañera.

Bad Bunny has publicly faced the Trump administration and its allies in the past. Shortly after Tony Hinchcliffe’s offensive blow to Puerto Rico during a Trump rally in October, the musician shared a video celebrating his homeland to his Instagram stories and approved Kamala Harris for the presidency. In January, the musician called Hinchcliffe’s racist joke in an interview with Timedeclaring: “All these racist people, at that time, [it] gives them empowerment for a joke. “”

More recently, Bad Bunny criticized the raids of immigration and customs (ICE) to Puerto Rico. “They are here in Pontezuela. Sons of Bitches, instead of leaving people alone and working,” he said about the presence of officers in Caroline.

The next world tour of Bad Bunny will also exclude the United States from its calendar. When asked why he jumps the United States, the musician simply replied: “It’s useless.”
