Ed Helms recalls unusual gift Zach Galifianakis gave ‘Hangover 2’ pilot


Ed Helms recently recalled the shitty gift that Zach Galifianakis left for a helicopter pilot on which worked The mouth of wood part II.

In the second film grand finale,, The main trio Phil (Bradley Cooper), Alan (Galifianakis) and Stu (Helms) ride a giant speed boat until Stu’s wedding. Helms said it was “so cool” to navigate the Chao Phraya river in Bangkok while a helicopter stolen from the water to film them.

“We had this French helicopter pilot which was legendary as being incredibly good,” he said. “He was doing these insane scales around us. We are going, like 50 miles per hour in this giant boat and this helicopter rushes over us. It was like a military operation and we colrate it on this boat.”

While the blow was exciting, Helms admitted that it was also “terrifying” to have the helicopter so close to his head. His co -star Galifianakis seemed to agree, because he then sent a gift to the pilot as a sign of his gratitude – and fear.

“That night, Zach obtained an Snickers bar and crushed it in a pair of troops and had it delivered to the hotel chamber of the pilot of Chopper as a thank you to have frightened the S — out of us,” said Helms. “It was great.”
