The first semester sparkling in the second half of Lachie Miller sealed a return victory causing for the Rhinos of Leeds on the leaders of the Betfred Hull Kr Super League in Craven Park.

Miller finished a duration of field length involving seven players while Brad Arthur’s team recovered a deficit at half-points from eight points to win a 14-8 victory which brings them back to third place in the table.

Their victory destroyed the winning race of Nine games in Rovers and also left Willie Peters’ men without the half-back of Star Mikey Lewis for next week to Leigh contenders, after failing an assessment of the head injuries at the end of the first half.

Rovers looked like a different team without Lewis and Miller’s astonishing effort was a rich reward for visitors, who had hit home defense throughout the second half and underlined their continuing emergence as real contenders under coach Brad Arthur.

The hosts were left to equal their failure to build a greater advantage in the first half, going to the 8-0 break before after a series of passes before they cost them dear in clear opportunities.

Leeds sought to capitalize, cutting the defensive line of Rovers, with the men of Willie Peters, so often the persistent force this season, seemingly uncomfortable in the face of the assault of visitors.

Leeds’ pressure has finally paid off in a spectacular way with 12 minutes to play when a brilliant team tried ended with Miller, who touched the ball twice in an exciting accumulation, moving the posts to the left.

Connor’s kick sent Leeds Six Clear to Leeds, and the Rhinos played the game with the minimum of agitation, despite their inability to win a potentially falling objective, to give the Rovers only their second defeat of the campaign.
