Lena Dunham is open to a ‘Girls’ spinoff about Shoshanna
Shoshanna Shapiro has become a bit of a favorite of fans among the new generation of Girls The observers and the designer of the show Lena Dunham said that she was open to exploring a spin-off for the character.
Recently appearing on the Not thin but not fatty Podcast, Dunham addressed her Girls The previous comments of Costar Zosia Mamet on the fact that Shoshanna has her own show.
“I think Shoshanna goes to places and it is also such a joy to see Zosia being her,” said Dunham. “So, if there was, as, the right context for us to do it, I would be delighted!”
In January, Mamet went to the Not thin but not fatty Podcast and said she tried to convince Dunham to rekindle the character. Mamet said she had failed to play Shoshanna and wanted to know what her character would do now.
Dunham said that she had “launched” ideas with Mamet for a potential Shoshanna spin-off, although they don’t seem to have yet landed on anything.

Girls ran for six seasons and ended in 2017. HBO’s dramatic followed the budding writer Hannah (Dunham) and his three friends Marnie (Allison Williams), Jessa (Jemima Kirke) and Shoshanna (Mamet) sailing after the lifespan after the rank in New York.
The show has seen a revival in recent years among young audiences, many of whom have seen Shoshanna.
“I love Shoshanna,” said Dunham. “I am in records saying that she is my favorite daughter.”
