Hull FC 16-10 Wakefield Trinity: Black & Whites finally earn first home win of 2025 Super League season | Rugby League News
The Hull FC won its first home game of the Super League 2025 season with a daring victory 16-10 against Wakefield Trinity at the MKM stadium.
The Black and the Whites had lost 11 and drew one since their last imprint at the MKM stadium on July 20 of last year and the transport of 10 points from Max Jowitt in the first half left them again against him.
But Zak Hardaker, Jordan Rapana and Lewis Martin all got up in the space of a dozen minutes in the second half, with Jack Charles converting twice, to seal Hull’s first victory in eight attempts in 2025 on their own patch.
All the eight previous victories of Hull in this campaign had occurred on the road, keeping them remarkably in the running for a finish among the first six, but they overcome a first 40 -minute first minute Thursday to demand late home comfort.
They seemed to have done before the second minute when Harvey Barron plunged into the right corner, but the test was excluded while the assistance of Jed Cartwright was tried to have advanced.
Amir Bourouh then made a few errors in the ruck which did not prove to be expensive, but the indiscipline of Liam Knight in the game, the ball was when Jowitt made Wakefield work with a penalty of 35 yards.
He again divided the messages when Brad Fash obstructed Josh Rourke to the game the ball to punish the repeated errors of Hull before putting the light of day between the 37th minute teams.
Harvey Smith was the architect while he used a yawning gap through the center of Hull before setting up the support of Jowitt, who took care of the positions for his 11th test of the year, then added the extras.
Hull seemed to be rejuvenated on the recovery and while Sam Eseh escaped after being held on the line, Hardaker rushed from the fictitious half to the 55th minute, transporting three defenders with him.
ESEH could not then bring together the unloading of Cartwright proper with the gaping line, but Hull continued to flow forward and Knight went to Rapana to cross Jowitt and Jayden Myers to mark right after the hour.
Hull then had his third test in rapid succession when Martin put his 13th of the season in the season, which was ultimately decisive.
The wing put the final touch to a fluid movement along the left, fueling four defenders to press the ball on the line in the area.
