Duhan Van der Merwe crosses his second try in the Lions tour of the Aunz XV
The British and Irish lions published a declaration of intent to Australia before the test of tests with a 48-0 mauling of an invitational XV in Adelaide.
In their final sale before the first test next Saturday in Brisbane, the Lions have delivered the most complete performance on Tower to date, canceling a team that had eight blacks and six Wallabies with eight unanswered trials.
Duhan Van der Merwe scored a hat -trick and was joined on the match sheet by Scottish teammates Ben White, Sione Tuipulotu and Scott Cummings.
Ireland Hooker Ronan Kelleher scored the seventh of the tourists and, after Owen Farrell came out of the bench for his first appearance during his fourth lions tour, the flanker in England Henry Pollock finished the rout while the Lions finally reached the intensity of the test match as they claimed their fifth victory on the Australian soil.
