Andy Baetens dropped the title champion Rob Cross from the opening of the Baltic Sea dart on Saturday, while Luke Humphries survived a huge fear in Kiel.
The second day of the ninth event of the European tour of the year experienced 16 second round games take place during a day of Marathon action at the Wunderino Arena, with Cross one of the many big names to leave.

The German number one Martin Schindler – helped by four maximums – lacked a comfortable winner against Jermaine Wattimena, and his award will be a German confrontation against Springer.
The winner of the Northern Ireland World Cup, Josh Rock, delivered another catchy performance to sweep Justin Hood 6-1, and he will renew his rivalry with the number one Welsh Jonny Clayton in the third round.
Clayton challenged the animated resistance of the World Youth Champion Gian Van Veen to triumph in a high-quality competition, before his compatriot Gerwyn Price was on average 101.73 in a 6-1 x-ray of William O’Connor.

The former European champion Ross Smith launched his campaign with a white victory over Kim Huybrechts, and he will now face the fifth head of Chris Dobey, who presented a complete display accomplished to overthrow Dirk Van Duijvenbode 6-3.
