Bobby Lee recalls Adam Sandler scolding him for bombing his line
Bobby Lee had only one line in The bad Missy – And it was one of the most difficult performances of his career.
The actor remembers playing an employee of recording office in the comedy of Netflix 2020 during a recent conversation with David Spade (who played in the film alongside Lauren Lapkus) and Dana Carvey on their podcast Fly on the wall.
Lee’s dialogue line in the film is only five words: “Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Morris.” But to deliver these five words from a office to a Hawaiian hotel turned out to be unexpectedly due to a clumsy conflict with one of the film’s producers, Adam Sandler.
“I’m on the set, I feel good. It’s outside. Hawaii!” Reminder Lee. “Everyone on this set is one of my friends.” Action. “”

However, Lee’s story ended on a high note, because after finishing the scene, he drowned his sorrows by eating Wontons in a hotel bar – where he met Magnum Pi Showrunner gene Hong.

“Over the next three or four years, I made 15 episodes of this thing,” said Lee. “He wrote to me – I was number one on the call sheet. [I had my own] Scenarios. He’s my best friend now, Gene. “”
