Joe Pavelski apparently passed his retirement on the golf course. About a year after having moved out of NHL, Pavelski won an American Championship from the American Star century on Sunday.
Pavelski, who hung up his skates after 18 NHL seasons, sealed her American championship of the century with an eagle putt on foot to top a dominant performance.
It was the ninth appearance of Pavelski at the American Century championship, and it turned out to be the charm. By pouring the hard putt, Pavelski celebrated with his shopping cart and kissed his family.
The longtime launcher of the MLB, John Smoltz, finished second and was among several other elite athletes beaten by Pavelski at the top of the ranking. Country singer Jake Owen finished third, former football player Taylor Twellman finished fourth and the NBA superstar Stephen Curry, finished fifth.
Even with this victory, Pavelski still has a lot of work to do if he wants his golf trophy to correspond to this in his NHL career.
