Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2: Eddie Hearn to negotiate alternative fights for Benn if Eubank Jr rematch not signed | Boxing News

Conor Benn and the promoter Eddie Hearn say they are ready to negotiate alternative fights if a revenge match with Chris Eubank Jr is not entirely signed this week.

Eubank Jr delivered a platform to the gallery to beat Benn by a unanimous decision during their first fight at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in April.

Eubank made a unanimous decision, the three judges marking 116-112 in his favor, after a huge confrontation of 12 laps.

A date offered for the Revenge match is September 20, which is just over two months old. Both camps ideally need eight weeks of preparation.

Benn’s preference is Eubank’s revenge match but has several other intriguing options at 147 pounds – including a handshake with Shakur Stevenson to be in a discussion salon in New York.

In all potential revenge, the British Boxing Boxing Board of Control said they had no problem with the fight at 160 pounds.
