Tomorrowland music festival main stage ‘severely damaged’ by fire


Tickets for the Tomorrowland 2025 music festival can sigh. Not only was no one injured in the massive fire which recently engulfed and finally destroyed the main scene of the festival, but the event will officially continue as planned previously.

All global travel activities in Brussels and Antwerp will take place as planned”, read a shared position on Wednesday on the Instagram page of the annual electronic music festival held in Boom, Belgium.

The Belgian News VRT broadcaster reported that the fire had broken out around 6 p.m. local time on Wednesday or 12 noon. In a few hours, the flames completely engulfed the main massive scene of the festival, which was completely leveled. It is not clear if a cause has been determined, because no cause has been announced to the public.

Although no ticket entered the festival when the fire broke out, around 1,000 employees were on site. The firefighters were still on the scene on Wednesday evening, and some neighboring residents were evacuated.

Tomorrowland should perform two consecutive weekends, from July 18 to 20, and again from July 25 to 27. The festival started humbly in 2005 and has since become a sprawling, multimedia and multimedia multimedia experience, with music, food, artistic installations, light shows and other immersive components.

The programming of this year presents musical acts, notably David Guetta, Swedish House Mafia, Afrojack, Steve Aoki and Armin Van Buuren.

The theme of the festival this year is “Orbyz”.

According to the Tomorrowland website, the 2025 edition is: “located in a magical universe made entirely from ice, [and] will reveal a hidden community that has existed under a gigantic ice cake for many years.
