Oprah Winfrey admits she doesn’t miss her daytime talk show
Oprah Winfrey delivered so many emblematic moments during the 25th years that his eponymous talk show was on the air – but the media magnate admits that it does not lack it.
Speaking with Kelly Ripa in the most recent episode of Let’s talk about the camera with Kelly Ripa Podcast, Winfrey said that even if it does not miss the program itself, it lacks the “public connection” that it has successfully created over the years.
“I miss the daily conversation,” she shared. “I miss conversations afterwards.”
Winfrey noted, however, that “as much as I liked the public, I tell you, the nature of what we did every day became so difficult.”
Winfrey said that diving into serious subjects to which his audience was dealing – like fighting cancer, traveling a divorce or undergoing “major dysfunction” – has become increasingly difficult.
In addition, her producers would be “overwhelmed” if their efforts have not led to Emmy victories, so she finally stopped submitting to appointments so that they can focus on “doing the best possible job”.
She continued: “I always keep respect for all the opportunities that we had to reach people’s lives and to be there for them in a way that counted.”

Among other things, the legend of the talk show was known for its generous gifts and gifts to its studio audience. She discussed the stress of trying to surpass herself over the show, recalling the tart idea of a producer to launch her audience in space.
“It’s time to make it fall,” recalls Winfrey after thinking after a trip to space.

In his last season, Winfrey released the big cannons, taking more than 300 members of his audience in Australia for eight days. While the host liked to connect with her viewers this way, she described the logistical problems with the sending of hundreds of people below.
“What we did not achieve is that 90% of the public did not have a passport,” she said. “So the producers were, like, who tried to obtain passports for people in time for the show in Australia.”
The Oprah Winfrey Show run from 1986 to 2011.
