The Las Vegas Aces star, A’ja Wilson, did not return to the court after the half-time of his team’s strength test with the New York Liberty title champion on Tuesday due to a right wrist injury. During the second half, she returned to the bench in street clothes with large watershed wrap.

With just over four minutes to play in the second quarter, Wilson went to the basket and took a clumsy fall after being the victim of a fault by Leonie Fiebich. Wilson’s legs were removed under her and tried to prepare for the fall with her hands as she crashed on the ground.

Wilson stayed on the ground for a brief period and the ACES medical staff rushed alongside him, just like his teammates, who have brandished towels to give a feeling of intimacy. After a dead time, Wilson stayed on the ground to take his free throws. If she hadn’t done it, she could not have returned to the game. She continued to play for a few additional possessions, but finally went to the locker room just before half-time.

While the teams returned to court for the second half, Wilson was not found. She was quickly excluded for the rest of the match.

It is too early to find out how long Wilson can be sidelined, but the aces hope that she will not face a long -term absence. This was a disappointing season for the 2022 and 2023 champions, which cling to eighth place and the last place of the 3-9 qualifying series. The last thing they need at this point is a serious injury to his best player.

Wilson, who won his third MVP prize last season, was again great. Tuesday, it was on average 21.9 points, nine rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.8 interceptions and 2.6 blocks. She leads the aces of points, rebounds, stolen and blocks, and is among the first five of the league in these four categories.

The aces will be in action again Thursday against the mystics of Washington. They will also play the Golden State Valkyries on July 12 and the Wings of Dallas on July 16 before the stars break.
