‘Blue’s Clues’ host Steve Burns to launch podcast for adults

The actor, musician and listener of Tiktok, judged 51, announced on Wednesday that he was teaming up with Lemonada Media to launch his own podcast later this fall. The weekly series, entitled Alivewill present conversations between Burns and listeners – many of whom have probably grown up looking at him Clues of Blue – Everything about the complexities of being adults in an uncertain world.
“There are a thousand podcasts that you can listen to, it is the one who listens,” Burns said in a press release. “I really want to continue what we started decades ago … for us, it was a curious investigation. It was a question of looking more closely. Ask the right questions. About following the clues that helped us with a better understanding. ”

He continued: “Alive is really just a continuation of this same conversation – only now we are adults, trying to give meaning to a world that is much more complicated. We are always looking for, always learn, always try to connect. Do our best to lead deeply examined lives together. And, you know, there will be fewer furniture that speaks, of course, but we will always have fun along the way.
In an Instagram post, Burns explained that he had been inspired to do the podcast because it was like “a lot of people shout and no one listens” these days. “It would be a partly podcast, part of the game, a bit like that,” he said about the show’s format. He added: “I want to hear what you think. I want to hear your ideas. It could be cool.”
Burns and his adorable blue animated puppy resolved mysteries together on Clues of Blue From 1996 to 2002, when his eponymous character broke the heart everywhere by announcing that he was leaving for the university. While he was replaced in the program by his brother Joe (Donovan Patton) at the time, Burns returned to the program as Steve in recent years, including in the film Paramount + Adventure of the big city of Blue.
He also appreciated his own share of viral moments, especially when he made each fan of emotional nickelodeon by sharing a comforting video message in honor of Blue’s Clues’ 25th anniversary in 2021. “I suppose that I just wanted to say that after all these years, I never forgot you.”, Burns told viewers in the clip. “And I’m super happy that we are always friends.”

Since then, he has made his own Tiktok niche in which he asks viewers how they feel and quietly listen to their answers. His checks have often coincided with major news titles, ranging from Calm on the set Scandal in the presidential election of 2024.
“Adults must be acute in life as much as children, and Steve is the perfect person to do so,” said Jessica Cordova Kramer, CEO of Lemonada, in the press release. “He draws directly from your inner child, helping the listeners to feel pleasure, comfort and curiosity. From the moment we saw Steve’s videos on Tiktok during the pandemic, we knew that we had to work with him.”
Last month, Burns revealed on Rainn Wilson Floo of the soul Podcast that the longtime rumor he had died after leaving Clues of Blue had a very real effect on him and his mental health.
“When a rumor as who persists for three or four years, he ceases to be funny,” he said at the time. “When he persists for 10 years, it looks like a cultural preference … When he persists for 15 or 20 years, you start to feel as if you are supposed to be.”
