British GP: Lando Norris tops second practice at Silverstone from Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton | F1 News

Lando Norris dominated the second training at the British Grand Prix of the Duo Ferrari Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in an intriguing Friday in Silverstone.

McLaren and Ferrari are ready to fight on the rest of the weekend, despite Norris beating Leclerc of 0.222 s with Hamilton 0.301 on the pace.

However, Leclerc and Hamilton put their best times on the second rounds of push, so there was more pace in hand, while the winner of the Austrian GP Norris may not have much on the table.

CEO of McLaren Zak Brown told Sky Sports F1: “The Ferraris looks very strong on a turn and a racing pace. A little early, but Ferrari looks very difficult.”

Oscar Piastri, who is 15 points ahead of Norris in the pilot championship, finished fourth, with Max Verstappen in fifth – the two pilots almost a half -two more slowly than Norris.

Verstappen visibly fought with the understeer throughout the two sessions on the high speed circuit of Silverstone while the new Red Bull floor does not seem to have put them closer to the front.
