Caitlin Clark injury: Fever star appears to injure right groin late in win over Sun, will be evaluated

Caitlin Clark seemed to undergo an injury to the groin during the 85-77 victory of Indiana fever against Connecticut Sun on Tuesday evening.

At the end of the fourth trimester, after sending a shirt pass to Kelsey Mitchell, Clark caught the interior of his right leg and headed for the opposite basket when he was visibly in pain. She put her head against the padding on the frustration basket, then headed for the tears.

After the match, the fever coach Stephanie White said that Clark “had felt something in the groin” but had no immediate update on the potential gravity of the injury.

“No update. I felt a little something in the groin, so we will have it evaluated and see what is going on from there,” said White.

Clark has already treated multiple injuries this season, missing 10 games in total – nine regular season, then the Commissioner’s Cup championship. She missed five games with a left quad strain and later withdrawing five more after injure the left groin. White confirmed that Clark had an embarrassment on his right side on Tuesday.

Indiana should play on the road against New York on Wednesday on Wednesday, but it is still too early to say if Clark will be suitable. In addition, Clark’s availability for All-Star Weekend in front of his home fans in Indianapolis now seems to be in question.

Clark was elected a captain of the stars and was to participate in the 3 -point competition Friday Before the match on Saturday evening.
