Candace Cameron Bure says son’s ’45-minute sermon’ helped save her marriage

Candace Cameron Bure opens roughly when her marriage to Valeri Bure obtained a boost from a surprising source – their son, Lev.

“Val and I went through a really, really difficult season in our wedding in 2020, and that’s where the pandemic struck”, the Full house Star revealed the last episode of his eponymous podcast. “It was going south quickly, and we said to ourselves:” I don’t know, don’t think … We’re going to pass. “But at some point, [our son] Lev preached, like a 45 -minute sermon on marriage with us. I just opened his bible on the sofa and to talk about it. “”

Candace continued, “and I will never forget, because he said:” You know, I know that I was not married. And I’m just a young child. And so it is probably difficult to take wedding advice from someone who has never experienced it before. But I don’t need to be married to know what the Word of God says. “”

Candace and Valeri have been married since 1996, after being presented for the first time in a charity hockey match by her Full house Costar Dave Coulier. Bures have two other children together – Natasha, 26, and MAKSIM, 23 years old – who were also present for the discussion.

Souvenirs occurred because a subject of conversation on the podcast was “Can you remember a time when someone said the truth of God in your situation?” Candace did not specify exactly the age of Lev, who is now 25, was at the time of this wedding sermon, but that certainly made an impression for her and her husband.

The star said that her son “was such a calm voice that had so much wisdom behind” that she and her husband “moved away” from experience thinking about themselves, “we have raised very good children”.

“It was so much in our face, but it was like the pivotal moment – it really changed for us after this conversation. There was much more, but it is a whole different scenario when your children asked you to have a conference and go there”, are you as mature as you can be? I am so grateful to Lev, Maks and Natasha, ”she concluded. “They supported so much.”

Although he was not married when he advised his parents, Lev finally made the knot. Candace announced in an article on Instagram in January 2024 that her eldest son had married.

“I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Lev Bure,” she wrote in a legend for the post at the time, which included a carousel of photos of the big day. “Words cannot express the joy that we felt this weekend celebrating the marriage of our son and her bride Elliott. We have won a beautiful girl and a wonderful family with whom to make life. I have a crushing feeling of love, joy, peace and contentment thanks to the blessing of God and friendship. My heart is so full.”
