Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn 2: Benn reveals plan to be ‘less emotional’ in bid to avenge defeat | Boxing News
Conor Benn says he will maintain an aggressive style for his revenge match with Chris Eubank Jr, but says that an “less emotional” approach can help him avenge the defeat he suffered during their first meeting.
British rivals should again share the ring in London on September 20 after Eubank Jr won an exciting victory at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium in April.
Benn brought his typically aggressive approach to the first fight, but thinks that he allowed his exuberance to play in the hands of Eubank.
Talk to Sky Sports News On Sunday, at the British Grand Prix, Benn said: “I’m going to go there and vaporize directly in him. Like the first, less emotional, we will say.
“Less heart, more brains, do you know?”
Benn took a good start for the first fight, but Eubank’s size and experience said when he was fighting to make a unanimous decision.
Ben added: “I felt like in the fight, my behavior was completely winning. I was standing 30 seconds before the bell [to start each round]. I was standing, ready to leave.
“You look at my behavior and look at his, who is deflated?”
“For me, I am delighted to make it go back, more educated. Acquired experience, let’s learn, go there and manage business.”
Benn open to the future Garcia Fight
Whatever the result against Eubank JR, Benn is likely to resume competition at a weight lower than the future, having shown several divisions to meet his compatriot.
Among the opponents who were praised for him is the former acting world champion Ryan Garcia.
Asked about the perspective of this fight, Benn said: “I’m going to fight any man, you know what I mean? If that makes money, that makes sense.
“In the end, I want the world title. For me, this is the main objective, it is to obtain this WBC world title.
“But if there is an idiotic offer finished, you can’t really refuse it, right?”
