Dalton Smith says he is a “nightmare” for the new super-lightweight WBC champion while he is getting closer to his first world defeat.
Smith is the compulsory challenger of the defense of the defense of the title of the Super-Lightweight of Alberto Puello against Subriel Matias in New York on July 12.
The 28 -year -old British competitor is extremely confident to be able to dethrone one or the other fighter after winning 18 consecutive victories, with 13 Knockouts.
“I will be in New York to watch Puello defend the title I want against Matias,” Smith told Sky Sports.

“For what it’s worth, I prefer Puello to beat Matias. I called Paro to beat Matias and I think Puello will do the same job, but it will be a good fight to look at.
“But the one who wins on July 12, I have the blow of the pair and, in doing so, I will realize that my dream of life to become world champion. I think I am a nightmare for them both.”
Matis eliminated all the opponents of his 22 victories and his promoter Dmitriy Salita confirmed that the big punch Porto Rican is “always ready to face the best”.
“I saw for the first time the talent of subriel closely when he fought my fighter, Shohjahon Ergashev. Ringsoid that night, I knew he was something special,” Salita told Sky Sports.
