Daniel Dubois’ IBF heavyweight title will be targeted by the winner of the Revenge match by Frank Sanchez with Efe Ajagba.
The IBF ordered Sanchez to face Ajagba in an eliminator, the winner becoming a compulsory challenger for the IBF belt which is currently held by Dubois.
The British world champion is currently preparing for a fight against the undisputed world title against Oleksandr Usyk at the Wembley stadium on July 19.
Derek Chisora had already been named “compulsory challenger”, but its position is not clear after the IBF initially ordered Sanchez to fight Filip Hrgovic in a eliminator in April.

Hrgovic has since focused on a fight by David Adeley on the Moses Itauma against Dillian Whyte Bill on August 16, opening the door to Ajagba to intervene to replace.
Sanchez, who struck Ajagba during a dominant point victory in 2021, shares the same coach as Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez and could be a natural choice to appear on the Subclate of the Mexican Star Combat against Terence Crawford at the Allegiant Stadium, in Las Vegas, on September 13.
“I do not get involved on this side of the company,” said Sanchez Sky Sports. “I fought on the sub-card of Canelo in the past. I do not know where my fight will be with Ajagba, but, of course, it would be even more special if it was on this card.
“I aspire to be like Canelo, and Canelo vs Crawford, it is the biggest boxing of boxing. I consider myself lucky to train with Canelo and share the same coach at Eddy Reynoso.
“It is inspiring to look at the level of dedication and discipline that Canelo brings to training. It is a great privilege of being in the same team.”
Sanchez had to undergo an operation on the knee after the loss of his file at Acti Kabayel alone, but the entirely fit Cuban is convinced that he can offer another dominant victory to impress the influential Turki Alashikh, which is planning future adult fights.
“Ajagba has improved as a fighter. It will not be easy, but when I am healthy, I can beat anyone in the world,” said Sanchez.
