Duchovny recalled a particular body while he was pulling in the episode of the season a “fire”, in which Mulder reveals a deeply anchored fear of the fire resulting from an infantile trauma.
“I remember that as in the middle of the episode, I had this thought. I think I went to [director] Chris Carter – Who wrote this episode, I think – and I said: “Didn’t Mulder and Scully watch a building burned in the pilot? I think Moulder was pretty cool with that, you know, it didn’t bother him ”, Duchovny told a Deschanel laughing.
“It’s like this kind of thing, you know where you are going, you are somehow the conservative of the character and sometimes you have to go:” I can’t do that “” California Miseted by Star.
