Does Jules stay on as CEO?

It’s been almost a decade for The trainee The charmed audience, but in classic fashion of Ben Whittaker (Robert de Niro), he ages quite graciously.

What’s going on with the wedding of Jules and Matt?

While Ben gets more involved in Jules’ daily life, he also looks closer to his family dynamic. It is clear that things are not as impeccable as they seem. Her husband, Matt, abandoned his own successful career to become a home father while the Cup began to take off. On the surface, they look like a loving and united couple – but in camera, their relationship collapses quietly.

Jules is constantly buried in work, often getting home late and continues to respond to e-mails in bed. The physical and emotional distance between them is developing, and neither seems capable or willing to meet the needs of the other.

Then comes the most devastating revelation of the film: one afternoon, Ben Rame Paige at the house of a birthday party and sees Matt leaving the house of another woman, rises in his car and kissing her. He understands the weight of this betrayal, especially since Jules is already under enormous pressure to resign as CEO in the hope of “saving” his marriage and making things work at home.

Does Jules resign as CEO of adjustment?

Towards the end of the film, Jules is advisable to resign as CEO and give the role to someone outside the business. Its investors believe that the company has exceeded it and that it cannot juggle the intense workload. After a certain deliberation, Jules reluctantly agrees, believing that resigning will give him more time to repair his relationship with Matt and be more present for Paige.

She even flies to San Francisco to interview a possible replacement, bringing Ben for moral support. During the trip, Ben talks about Matt’s affair, only to learn that Jules already knows. She has seen suspicious texts on her phone but has not yet confirmed them, because she always tries to treat him and is not ready to explode her life.

Thus, in a moment of self -sacrifice, Jules decides to go ahead and hire the new CEO. But once she and Ben returned to New York, he encourages her to reconsider, reminding her how much she set up the heart and the agitation she put in the adjustment. He says that everything abandoning everything by guilt or pressure is not the answer.

Jules is happy to hear this, and she is obviously relieved to hear someone validated her commitment to the company.

Once in the office, Matt unexpectedly falls. Instead of putting pressure on Jules, he tells her to “do what feels good” her. Jules admits that she wants to continue directing her business, and Matt supports her decision, saying he didn’t want her to be unhappy.

He then finally admits his infidelity and assured Jules that it is finished, apologizing and telling him that he lost sight of which he is really. More importantly, however, Matt tells Jules that he does not want her to abandon his work or dreams for him – and if she is ready to try again, he will be better for her and their daughter.

What happens at the end of The trainee?

After Matt was clean about his affair and pleads with Jules to stay as CEO, she has a change of heart. She realizes that she is not ready to move away from the startup, recognizing that she was going too much to give him to someone else.

Naturally, the first person with whom she wishes to share this decision is ben. But when she goes to get him, she said he had taken the day, finally taking time to attend her beloved Tai-chi class in the park.

In the final scene of the film, Jules finds Ben and joins him in Tai Chi. It is a moment of calm, connection and liberation, a rare break in the otherly hectic life of Jules. For once, she just lets herself be – No emails, no meetings, no emergency of fashion to manage. Just relaxation, balance and a friend who helped her rediscover her foot (and her happiness too).
