“From the start of the tournament, I suffered a lot of racial violence. Although I think each fan is entitled to their opinion on performance and the result, I do not agree or that I think it is normal to target the appearance or breed of someone.

“Following this, I take a step back from social media and I leave it to a team to manage.

“As always, I am grateful for all the support of authentic fans, but I take this measure to protect myself in order to keep the accent on the team help anyway. I hope I will make people who write this abuse reflect twice so that others will not have to face it.

“We have made historical changes with this team of lionesses of which I am so proud to be part and I hope that by talking about this, it will make another positive change for all. I am now impatient and that I focus on all my energy to help my team.”

Lionesses condemn the “vile” abuses of fans

In their own message published by the complete and timed team to support Carter’s Declaration, the lionesses demanded that those responsible should be held responsible for their actions and said they should find “another way” to oppose racism as a team.

“Representing our country is the greatest honor. It is not fair that, even if we do it, some of us are treated differently simply because of the color of our skin.

“Until now, we have chosen to take the knee before the games. It is clear that we and football must find another way to fight against racism. We agreed as a team to stand before kick -off on Tuesday.

“We hope that the game will be able to meet to see what more can be done. For the moment, we will return our total goal to an important semi-final.

“In the meantime, we know that the FA is working with the British police and appropriate organizations. People behind this online poison must be responsible.”
