Jaka Bijol: Leeds United sign Slovenia defender from Udinese | Football News


Leeds confirmed the signing of the Udinese Slovenian Jaka Bijol Defender for unknown costs, including 15 million pounds sterling.

The 26 -year -old central rear has signed a five -year contract and is Leeds’ second summer signature since his return to the Premier League after the arrival of the German striker Lukas Nmecha.

A Leeds press release said: “Leeds United is delighted to announce that Jaka Bijol has joined the club on the Italian side Udinese, for unknown costs.

“The imposing central defender put the pen on paper on a five -year contract, committing his future in Elland Road until 2030.”

Leeds added: “With a number of clubs in the running for his signature, we now welcome our second summer signature in the West Yorkshire and we are all looking forward to seeing Jaka playing Elland Road.”

Bijol played 63 appearances for Slovenia and played a key role in Euro 2024, where they played England in a tireless draw in the group phase before losing penalties against Portugal in the last 16.
