Jake Paul’s MVP aim to make Katie Taylor vs Chantelle Cameron III after Amanda Serrano fight | Boxing News
Katie Taylor’s next fight should be against Chantelle Cameron, explains the co-founder of MVP promotions Nakisa Bidarian.
Bidarian created a MVP with an influencer from the social media who became Jake Paul and the company will walk the third fight of Katie Taylor with Amanda Serrano on July 11.
Taylor and Serrano Box for the undisputed super-lightweight championship at Madison Square Garden in New York, their third competition.
Taylor became the world champion in super-light when she avenged her first professional career defeat by beating Cameron in their revenge match in Dublin in 2023.
Cameron, who signed with MVP, will box on their undercard of July 11. Bidarian thinks Taylor should fight with Cameron with Cameron, whatever happens against Serrano.
It is the MVP fight that will work afterwards.
“I think Win or Lose Katie Taylor should fight Chantelle Cameron again. They are 1-1. Amanda and Katie are technically 2-0 but very close fights that many people thought of twice won, so there is certainly a request for that,” said Bidarian in Bidarian Sky Sports.
“And I believe there is a request, at least in the United Kingdom and Ireland, for Taylor-Cameron III. We will try to get there.”
He revealed that Amanda Serrano was in the final stretch of her career. “Amanda probably has something two to four fights, so we’re going to let her dictate what she wants to do. She has won this right,” said Bidarian.
“If Amanda wins, everything is what Amanda wants to do. Does she want to stay at 140 pounds, want to come back to her natural weight of 126 pounds?
“There are a lot of variables. We have not had this discussion with Amanda. We want it finally to focus, technically winning the fight, then we will make this decision.
“But we are going to support Chantelle in his effort to become a complete world champion at 140 pounds for sure.”
