Chelsea signed Borussia Dortmund the striker Jamie Gittens in an agreement worth 51.5 million pounds sterling on a seven -year contract.
The talks had progressed in the United States, where the two teams had participated in the Club World Cup and although Bayern Munich was also interested, the 20-year-old concluded a long-term agreement at Stamford Bridge.
Dortmund confirmed that the transfer was agreed in Florida on Thursday evening.
The West London Club sought to strengthen the vast zones following the decision not to take the possibility of permanently signing Jadon Sancho.
England U21 International contributed 12 goals and five assists in 48 games in all competitions for Dortmund last season.
After signing for Chelsea, Gittens said: “It’s great. It’s a great feeling of joining such a big club that Chelsea.
“I can’t wait to learn from everyone in the team and push myself as much as possible here. It’s an incredible feeling.”
