Jennifer Love Hewitt got hooked in the eye while filming ‘IKWYDLS’
Jennifer Love Hewitt did not move away from the original I know what you did last summer Unharmed films, but she always comes back for more.
The actress, who played in the original Slasher of 1997 and her 1998 sequel, says that the two films came with a gift of separation from the fisherman (Muse Watson), the hook killer who tracks the group of unlucky adolescents of the film.
“I think people did not know that I injured myself on the two films with the real hook,” said Hewitt in a recent conversation with Extra. “I think people think:” Oh, it’s a hook film, so it’s probably like plastic or something else. “”
But according to Hewitt, a real hook was used for filming, to make sure it “sparkles” authentically in the light. “He would have a little tennis ball on it and it would stand out [when] We would make a scene, “she said.

Hewitt then shared that his first injury came during the culminating final of the original film.
“There is a time when Julie is under the boat and the fisherman comes. So they moved my brand for this catch, then they moved her brand but they did not say to one of us they had done this,” she recalls. “And he hangs this grid and he hung my eye and scraped my eyes.”
Hewitt added: “I became blind and I had to solve this problem.”
Laughing, she said: “We are well, everything is fine. We are all good-I became blind for a second and it’s okay. So, it was scary.”

“In the second film, he shoots me under the bed and I hung on to the ankle,” recalls Hewitt. “And he actually crossed his ankle in one of the sockets and it was very exciting. I had to be looked at.”
She joked: “Again, I’m fine. Here I am, back, ready for more.”
Hewitt and Prinze Jr. once again resume their roles for the fourth entrance to the franchise, 2025 I know what you did last summer. Like the original, the new film follows a group of adolescents – Madelyn Cline, Chase Su Wonders, Sarah Pidgeon, Tyriq Withers and Jonah Hauer -King – who are tracked down by a mysterious foreigner who knows everything about the terrible error they have made a year before. But this time, adolescents will at least have the advice of Julie (Hewitt) and Ray (Prinze Jr.), who experienced a similar tragedy.
