Joshua Jackson reunites with ‘Mighty Ducks’ costar at 2025 NHL Draft

Joshua Jackson knew how to dress for his big concert announcing the first round choices of Anaheim Ducks in the NHL 2025 draft Friday: in an orange jersey with an avian logo familiar on the front and “Conway” in all the caps in the back.

“It’s been a while since I wore 96, so it’s nice to come back”, the star of Powerful ducks on NHL tonight.

Jackson, who played the member of the Charlie Conway team in the 1992 original hockey comedy, the suite of 1994 D2: powerful ducks, and 1996 D3: powerful ducks, joined his Costar Marguerite Moreau, who portrayed the qualified player Connie Moreau, announcing the Roger McQueen center as the first choice of draft of the Ducks of Anaheim this week, making McQueen the 10th player selected overall.

The success of the first Mighty Ducks Film led the Walt Disney Company to launch the powerful Ducks of Anaheim, an NHL expansion team in 1993. Its name was changed for the Anaheim ducks in 2005, when Disney sold the franchise.

Filling the original film, Jackson, now 47 years old, has never imagined how long the legs of the hockey franchise would be, he said NHL Tonight Host EJ Hradek and Alexa Landestoy during the event.

“I don’t really think we didn’t know what we were doing and couldn’t even have dreamed of that it would be a possibility all these years later,” said Jackson, making a gesture to the crowd assembled behind him at the Peacock Theater of Los Angeles, where the NHL recovery in 2025 took place.

Indeed, McQueen, 18, was born in 2006, a decade after the release of the third film in the series. The trilogy also played Emilio Estevez as a lawyer Gordon Bombay, who trains the young hockey team through their misadventures.

The franchise spread to television, first obtaining the short -lived adaptation Mighty Ducks: The Animated Series In 1996, then, in 2021, the live show of two Disney + Show seasons The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers. Moreau, who played Connie in the films, appeared in an episode of this last series; Jackson did not show up.

“To be part of someone’s realization of someone, you don’t get this opportunity very often in your life,” he said. “And to make the loop complete with the jersey, it feels good. Having my little brick in the wall of the legacy of the game is incredible.”

Moreau recently appeared in four episodes of the acclaimed medical drama of Max The Pitt.

Jackson’s Soapier medical drama, Doctor Odyssey, which was set on board a cruise ship, has just been canceled in ABC after a season following a trial brought by three members of the crew of accessories against the Disney parent company and the 20th Television producer. The pursuit alleges sexual harassment, reprisals, unjustified termination and hiring by negligence, detention and supervision practices.
