Karl Urban debuts Johnny Cage in faux trailer ahead of ‘Mortal Kombat 2’

Karl Urban finally made his debut on Johnny Cage – but not in Mortel Kombat 2.

Wednesday, Warner Bros. Unveiled a false trailer with Urban as an Earthrealm and B-List film champion, Johnny Cage. While fans have to wait a little longer to see real images from the next series of video games, they can at least like to watch Urban – or, Ahem, Johnny – Kick Ass in an action trailer for 90.

Delected of his signs of signature and a retro outfit, Johnny enters a warehouse to face a bunch of henchmen. And as it would not be a trailer for classic voiceless action off melodramatic, a “voice of God” in style Don Lafontaine tells of his last adventure.

“From the studio that brought you Cool cage, difficult to cage And Rebel without cage… Come Fury not camera,“Said the gallor voice.

Meanwhile, Johnny slowly puts his sunglasses before declaring: “It’s spectacle”.

He then embarked on a melee in martial arts which sees him eliminate several henchmen at the same time. At one point, one of his opponents manages to hit his just sunglasses with his face.

“They annoyed him. They — Ed with his nuances. They should have brought more guys,” said the dramatic voice.

Prove the narrator’s point, Johnny recovers his nuances, sets them up and knocks out all the henchmen with a single pipe.

On Instagram, the official Mortel Kombat 2 Page offered an even deeper dive in Johnny’s career with an overview of his Imbd profile. “Prepare for the return of Johnny F. Cage,” said the post. “The F represents…. Fantastically beautiful.”

This overview is only the beginning. Johnny has already been teased in the first Kombat Mortel film, which presented a poster for his fiction Citizen cage movie. The film 2021 finally culminated with the veteran of MMA Cole Young (Lewis Tan) going to Los Angeles to take a new recruit for the coming battle. When Mortel Kombat 2 will resume, Johnny’s skills will be fully exposed.
