Keke Palmer addresses scrapped Jonathan Majors interview

Keke Palmer erases the air in this controversial interview with Jonathan Majors.

The actress appeared on The breakfast club On Power 105.1 FM to discuss recent projects – including your podcast Baby, it’s Keke Palmer – When the subject turned to his interview with Podcast with Majors. The episode, which came after his sexual assault trial, was never broadcast after the counterpoup.

“Obviously, Meagan is my daughter,” said Palmer, referring to Meagan Good, who married majors earlier this year. “I grew up by loving it. She is honestly a mentor for me and a representation for us all the young black women. I mean, I was happy for her to get married. I was excited to have the conversation.”

As a host, “I’m here to be impartial,” said Palmer. “You do not agree with everything they have done, you don’t like everything, but you must have the conversation. You have to prepare the ground so that they can speak and so that people can watch and take what they want to withdraw from it, so that’s why I was open and excited to do the interview.”

She quickly clarified: “I do not compare it to a serial killer!” But, “in the end, I felt as a journalist, I am supposed to speak and let the public decide what they want to feel,” said Palmer. “But that didn’t have the opportunity to happen. I wish them all the best. I really want to say that because I don’t judge anyone because I don’t want to be tried. So, at the end of the day, I’m happy for Meagan. I’m happy for them.”
