Kevin Philippart de Foy makes Amo Racing switch to Freemason Lodge | Racing News

Kevin Philippart de Foy was chosen by Amo Racing by Kia Joorabchian to replace Raphael Freire as a coach kept at the Freemason Lodge in Newmarket.

The Belgian, who already trains in the city, will move to one of the country’s most historical stables, which Joorabchian recently retired from Sir Michael Stout.

The news comes at the same time as the realization of an extended renovation and will see Freire return to its previous role as a private coach of Amo.

“First of all, I would like to welcome Kevin Philippart de Foy as a new coach at the Freemason Lodge,” said Joorabchian in a statement published on Amo’s X account.

“Kevin is a fantastic rider who understands our objectives and shares our ambition. Having known and worked with him for several years, this makes this transition even more fluid. We know that his character adjustments align perfectly.

“We think he is the right person to get the operation to the next level, and we are delighted with what awaits us with him at the head of the team in this historic courtyard.

“At the same time, I want to say a big thank you to Raphael for intensifying and doing such a brilliant job to operate the Freemason. His work in recent months has been crucial, and he has thrown a solid base for the future.”

He added: “Raphael has been a large part of Amo Racing’s trip so far, and he continues to be an integral part of our team to move forward.”

Philippart de Foy said: “I am deeply honored for having been responsible for taking responsibility for taking over at the Freemason Lodge and forming a series of horses so exciting for the Amo race.

“This is an important step in my career, and I am incredibly grateful to Kia and the team for this opportunity.

“The investment and ambition of Amo Racing in sport are really inspiring, and I can’t wait to play my role in what I hope to be a very successful trip together.”
