Lando Norris made a “clumsy” error when he collided with Oscar Piastri at the Canadian Grand Prix, but can still win the championship if he always brings his “A-game”, according to Sky Sports F1is Martin Brundle.
Piastri and Norris collided at the end of the Sunday race by fighting for fourth, the latter reaching the rear tire of his teammate and crashing into the pit wall, undergoing immediate end -of -race damage.
Norris, who is now 22 points behind Piastri in the title race, immediately apologized to the team for his “stupid” error on the race for the round 1.
The incident started when Norris went up inside Piastri at Turn 10 Hairpin, who saw the McLaren duo move side by side backwards before Norris was a better run from the final chicane but met his teammate.
“Oscar did well to see the first decision arriving because Lando was far behind when he launched him 10,” said Sky Sports F1is Martin Brundle.
“Lando probably thought he had had it because Oscar was at an acute angle in the final and tight and wide chicane. Oscar was not particularly nice to him, but why should he? Lando seemed to persevere this left side when it was not on.

McLaren openly recognized that a confrontation between their drivers was inevitable and said that they were prepared for such a scenario.

Brundle: Norris can still win the F1 2025 championship
Norris showed high speed throughout training compared to Piastri, who struck the Champions Wall on Saturday before the qualifications.
