Marge Simpson isn’t really dead, says ‘The Simpsons’ showrunner
People die – but beloved animated characters rarely do it. So when Simpsons“The final of the 36th season presented the death of Marge Simpson and a flash-form in his life in paradise, the fans were shocked and upset. But now the showrunner wants viewers to know that there is no need to cry and cring teeth.
Speak with VarietyExecutive producer Matt Selman assured fans that none of the future that the series is considering for its characters takes place in stone.
“Obviously, since Simpsons“The future episodes are all speculative fantasies, they are all different each time,” he said. “Marge will probably never be dead. The only place where Marge is dead is in a future episode broadcast six weeks ago.”
In the episode of May 18, entitled “Estranger Things”, Marge becomes worried when Bart and Lisa stop watching The Itchy & Scratchy Show Together and decide to watch shows separately.
“I knew that my children grew up, but I never thought they were separating,” she worried about herself. By pulling Bart and Lisa aside for a heart to heart, Marge said to them: “Your father and will not be there forever. When you get older, you will have to press each other.”
Alas, a flash-forward assembly (and an accompaniment song) indicates that the children did not take into account their mother’s warning and separated in adulthood. Cut to:

Selman also blamed the titles of “Clickbait” for having made fans work about the episode.
“Here is my point of view: websites need traffic and equal traffic titles,” said the showrunner Variety. “And then you can explain that the title was misleading at the very end of the article. Each media that directed this story only knew in any margin case was dead. They all knew it, but they did the title anyway.”

“Estranger Things” ended with margin by looking at Bart and Lisa, who end up reconciling as adults, of his celestial perch.
“I am so happy that my children are again close,” she said with a smile, before walking in the clouds with her husband after death, Ringo Starr.
