Mikey Day gave Meryl Streep acting advice ahead of ‘SNL50’ special
Meryl Streep has no problem learning her lines, but Saturday Night LiveGuests can count on landmarks.

“She was fair, like, memorizing her almost just out of habit,” said Day. “And we say to ourselves:” There are cards. “I actively tell her to go against her instinct which made her the best actress of all time.”
The sketch “Close Encounter” is a favorite piece of fans who presents the character Colleen Fleffy (McKinnon) describing his experience removed by comfortable extraterrestrials.
There has been nine sketches of “close meeting” in the last decade, and Day has all co-written. He joked by saying that McKinnon was “removed as a dozen times at this stage”.

For SNL50, McKinnon said it was his “dream” to involve Streep in the sketch. Day also shared that Narrow third type dating Director Steven Spielberg was also supposed to be in the sketch, but was cut for time.
By deciding how to write Streep in the sketch, Day said that the choice was obvious.
“She must be her mother so that she can miss, smoke a cigarette and have a sort of deceased,” said Day. “It was surreal.”
