Netball Super League: London Pulse captain Zara Everitt hopes ‘everyone is living in fear’ of new champions | Netball News

Captain Zara Everitt hopes that “everyone lives in the fear of London Pulse” after winning his first Title de Super League Netball.

On Sunday, Pulse defeated the hopes of the title with three loudborough Lightning 53-45 lushborough in the Grand Final of the O2 Arena.

Funmi Fadoju was appointed player of the match after contributing to the formidable defense of Pulse alongside his teammates, including Zara and Darcie Everitt sisters.

“It was just an incredible day and so exciting for us to do it together,” said Zara.

“But the whole team has done an absolute quarter of work this season and our hard work has really borne fruit.”

Darcie added: “I can’t even describe it, when we entered this building, it was almost like at home because it was not so long of a trip and we were still in London.

“We were so excited and that is why the team has been working since we started as a club. We could not be more proud of each other.”

The signature window having opened its doors on Monday, the fans predict that the Pulse team will lose or sign anyone after winning the Super Cup, at the top of the table in the regular season and their great final success.

“It would be great for this club to strengthen,” said Zara.

“We have made the story this year and the only way to do it again is to win it again.

“I hope the talent remains and I hope everyone lives in the fear of London Pulse.”

Pulse has already confirmed that the star defender Fadoju will remain at the club next year in a sincere video published on social networks Monday morning.

After his phenomenal performance player of the match in the final, Zara described the defender as a “single generation player” among a young talented team.

Zara added: “I have played with funmi for several years now and she is the most modest and most humble player you will ever meet.

“But it is obviously extremely athletic, so talented, reads the game very well.”

At just 16 years old, Gracie Smith became the youngest player to appear in a grand finale after her arrival for Adio Halimat who suffered from cramp.

“She’s just crazy,” said Darcie. “I don’t think you expect her youth, not just depending on physical strength and athletics – she comes with such great confidence.

“It’s amazing how calm I feel when she also has the ball because each central pass she took on Sunday, she gained confidence.

“It obviously helps that she also has such a large team around her, with many experienced players.”
