The Jockey Oisin Murphy was accused of driving in drink and cooperation with a preliminary test by the road following a serious road collision in western Berkshire in April.
A statement published by the Thames Valley police said: “A man was charged as part of an ongoing investigation into a serious road collision in Hermitage, west of Berkshire.
“Last Thursday (19/6) Oisin Murphy, 29 years old […] Hungerford was charged by a postal request with a driving leader of a motor vehicle while it was above the prescribed alcohol limit and a non-cooperation chief with a preliminary test by the road.
“The load is in relation to a single vehicle traffic traffic collision around 12:05 pm on Sunday, April 27 of this year, when a gray Mercedes, a class left the road and crashed into a tree.
“Murphy must appear before the magistrate court of Reading on July 3.
“It is essential that people do not speculate or disseminate disinformation on social networks because it is a live investigation.”
