Paul Cole, perhaps better known for his salt.

The 83 -year -old man experienced more than 1,500 winners during a stellar career that started in Wantage in 1987, and later became a champion coach of flat British in 1991.

It was during this same season that he saw the generous stable star claim classical glory to Epsom by five lengths, with Alan Munro on board. The foal belonging to Fahd Salman would continue to finish the derby derby derby at Curragh and land King George in Ascot.

Since 2020, Cole has shared the license with his son Oliver, who will now resume the operation in Whatcombe full time.
