Sabrina Carpenter unveils new album cover art after controversy

Oh, my boy! Sabrina Carpenter pushes with playful against online controversy surrounding the original cover of her next album, Man’s best friendBy revealing an alternative, much more covered than she claims is “approved by God” herself.

The singer of “Manchild”, 26-year-old, caught serious warmth on social networks earlier this month when she announced the new album and revealed her blanket charged with irony, who sees Carpenter on his knees in front of a standing man holding a handful of her hair. Many commentators have criticized the image to be degrading to women, calling it an example of internalized misogyny and comparing it to the ax coverage for Glove Since It’s the Spinal Tap.

Apparently reacting to an outcry, Carpenter offered a coverage more suitable for PG in an Instagram post on Wednesday. The image in black and white shows the double winner of the grammys holding a suitable man as she looks far from the camera.

However, a bit like with the original cover, the Carpenter post divided the fans into his comments section, some loved his cheeky response to drama and others not.

“The legend – she is so little short,” wrote one of them. Add another: “I like confident women who don’t care about what others think. Slay.”

Some have not seen the need for second coverage. “I prefer the first (it’s more emblematic),” said a user. Another wrote: “She really said because you are all so sensitive. That’s 💀.”

Others, on the other hand, called Carpenter to joke about puritanic standards rather than attacking the criticisms that detractors have pierced against it and the work of art.

“God had nothing to do with that. People just didn’t like the fact that you degrease women with the imagery of your album,” wrote a person. “Do you want to have the real conversation?”

The cover of Carpenter’s album was such a hot subject last week that he even found himself The viewWith Cohost Sunny Hostin stressing that it is essential to consider the message that a risky album cover like Man’s best friend can send to children.

“I think imaging is important,” she said at the time. “And even if her words are strong and that she is a feminist, I just think of young girls who see that who may not understand.”
