Sabrina Carpenter unveils new album cover art after controversy

Many commentators have criticized the image to be degrading to women, calling it an example of internalized misogyny and comparing it to the ax coverage for Glove Since It’s the Spinal Tap.

Apparently reacting to an outcry, Carpenter offered a coverage more suitable for PG in an Instagram post on Wednesday. The image in black and white shows the double winner of the grammys holding a suitable man as she looks far from the camera.

Others, on the other hand, called Carpenter to joke about puritanic standards rather than attacking the criticisms that detractors have pierced against it and the work of art.

“God had nothing to do with that. People just didn’t like the fact that you degrease women with the imagery of your album,” wrote a person. “Do you want to have the real conversation?”
