Sunny Hostin says she ‘almost died’ on ‘The View’ from allergic reaction

The viewSunny Hostin obtained more than what she expected after sampling the food that the former co-animator Debbie Matéopoulos brought to the show this week.

“Do you mean when I’m almost dead?” Hostin asked for Friday’s show, after co-host Joy Behar invented her to inform their co-animators that day, notably SARA Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro, which had happened.

Hostin then explained that the Maténopoulos – who welcomed the program during his first in 1997 until 1999, when the network chose not to renew his contract – had brought dishes from his new cooking book, GreekWednesday.

“She has this wonderful food, Greek food,” said Hostin. “I have a terrible nut allergy. While I eat food, Alyssa asks:” Are these nuts here? “And she says” yes “. So I’m immediately panicking.”

Hostin said she then wrote a “death note” to Griffin talking to her about allergy.

“She replies:” Oh, no! “” Said Hostin. “And I look [executive producer] Brian [Teta] And he said to himself: “Is everything okay?” No, this is not the case. “”

Fortunately, she said, the medical team on the spot plunged to save the day.

“What was great is that our Disney nurses are like superheroes,” said Hostin. “The nurse Jan came with an Epipen. She was testing me. I had Benadryl. I was afraid.”

Griffin admitted that she had not been able to read the “death note”.

But Hostin reassured her.

“She was great in the moment,” said Hostin. “I panicked.”

Griffin said the team was happy that their Costar went through the event.

Hatred had at least any idea that Hostin was allergic to one of the ingredients of a salad that the Matenopoulos brought, she said.

Having joined the show as Cohost in 2016, Hostin has experienced a number of kitchen segments, although few are probably as memorable.
