Super League: Hull KR extend lead with win over Catalans Dragons after Hull FC stun Wigan Warriors on dramatic Saturday | Rugby League News

Wigan Warriors lost ground in the Super League title race after being amazed 32-12 by the Hull FC before the Hull Kr leaders beat the Catalans Dragons 34-6 to move four points clearly at the top.

Aidan Sezer served a tactical masterclass while Resurgent Hull dominated all the departments of the Brick Community Stadium and handed over his third defeat in five games.

Jed Cartwright caught two trials in the first half and the victory of the Black and Whites was shaped by a surprisingly effectively effective game plan in which Sezer has constantly targeted the former star of the Wigan Union Christian Wade with high kicks.

Wade showed an overview of its potential in flamboyant the left flank for the first try of Wigan in the second half, but it came far too late for the hosts, who also lost Zach Eckersley and Jai Field in injury.

The half-time advance of the 20 points of the visitors had been all the more impressive given the intense pressure which they suffered in the first 20 minutes when they rarely managed to get out of their own half.

Wigan would have taken an advance in the third minute if Eckersley had not rebounded without concern in his attempt to open, and Hull not only survived, but prospered while the errors were starting to go up for the hosts.

Grandis by the brilliant Sez, the visitors slowly torn off the control, and after the extension of Herman Ese’ese, the ball broke in Cartwright which projected undisputed for the opener.

With ESE’ese offering an almost unstoppable force in the front row, Hull began to dominate and they doubled their lead in the 23rd minute when Sezer cut inside Harry Smith and sent Cartwright for the number two.

Sezer added his own test just after half an hour after being set up by the former man of Wigan CUST, and it could have been even worse for the besieged troops of Matt Peet while Ese’ese came a few centimeters before the Hooter.

Hull was content to take his advance at halftime at 20 with a penalty by Jack Charles, whose faultless kicks would give 12 points and effectively put all the thin hopes that Wigan had to retaliate in the competition.

Wade seemed to have emerged from his hot opening spell when he flambé on the left flank on 56 minutes to grasp the first score of his team and refer to a dramatic change in the momentum.

But irrepressible visitors have never abandoned, Harvey Barron denied only by a tackle that scratch of Adam Keighran before Jordan Rapana is sliding so that the game is sure just after the hour, after another Wade spill.

Ethan Havard crossed paths for Wigan’s second try with seven minutes to do, but it was still time for Jack Ashworth to add the fifth of the visitors and put the seal on a famous victory that firmly elected them in the photo in eliminatory.

Then, the young French center Leo Darrelatour lost the ball when he approached his own half and the Robins almost struck again, but the last pass to Davies was lost.

Peta Hiku was unable to collect a Highball Lewis in order to what would have been a simple try while visitors showed the heat.

Another young French player Clement Martin then dropped the ball on a 20 -meter restart and this Lewis man jumped after a strong journey by Sam Luckley. Morgue added the conversion to double the advance.

Lewis thought he had tripled the total test when he jumped after Broadbent collected the ball after a strong tackle on Cesar Rouge and fed his dead end, but the video referee saw a blow by Broadbent.

Lewis then struck on the line while the part-time hooter signaled for what could have been his tripled, but the scoring remained 12-0 at the interval and the center of the Dragons Romano drink with a strain of the hamstrings.

The pain continued in the second half for the Catalans when Hiku pierced over a 30 -meter game and Broadbent found that Joe Burgess marked in the left corner in the 45th minute, Mourgue converting the touch line.

Broadbent scored its 10 seconds later after the Catalans coughed the ball 10 meters from their own line and the favor was returned to the other end when Rovers escaped their own line and the Romain Navarrete propeller jumped for the first points of his team.

Lewis was always going to have the last laugh when he was classified to score in the 72nd minute opposite the fans of Jubilant Robins. Burgess then exceeded it with a 70 -meter dashboard for its second try while the Robins finished with fulfillment.
