28 years laterWho gives director Danny Boyle with screenwriter Alex Garland after the two going to producer roles for the 2007 suite 28 weeks latershows the two men working at the top of their powers – and in absolute Sicko mode. This new chapter (with Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes and Alfie Williams) is strange, unpredictable, gloriously revolting, dark and funny and, when you expect the least, rather touching. Wallis Island Ballad

This little gem of a film was created in Sundance in January before landing quietly in theaters in March. Written by the British comedy duo Tom Basden and Tim Key, he follows the winner of the eccentric lottery Charles Heath (Key), who seeks to bring together the folk duo Herb McGwyer (Basden) and Nell Mortimer (Carey Mulligan). Which starts as an erroneous attempt to collect the group only of the dredges of old wounds, but he turns out to be a good way for Charles to treat his grief and to feel closer to his deceased wife. Black bag is a spy film different from any other. When the intelligence agent George Woodhouse (Michael Fassbender) learns that his wife, Kathryn (Cate Blanchett), also a spy, is suspected of betraying the nation, he must decide between his country and his marriage. Despite its refreshing runoff (just over 90 minutes!), The film is skilfully gathered. As much as the prolonged and ardent action sequences extended, and in their place are speaking games – but no less rich – cat and mouse on an elegant dinner table. And there are enough twists and turns to make you guess, but the film is true (do we dare to say?) secret The weapon is that, in its heart, Black bag Truly talks about a marriage that has come to life with a life with a fascinating and warm chemistry between Fassbender and Blanchett, which go aside in a way that makes it impossible to look away. Gender narration has always been a mature space to explore powerful social and political problems, and Companion is no exception, even if his message is sometimes confused. The beginnings of director of Drew Hancock are a hell of an invigorating vengeance fantasy, made all the more satisfactory by his own self -awareness. F1: the film

F1 Literally led into the rooms, and he has already pushed, pushed, has pushed his list – for a good reason. The love letter from director Joseph Kosinski at the Formula 1 race with Brad Pitt is not only one of the best films of the year (so far), it is also one of the best sports competition films ever made. Despite the often predictable limits of the genre, the script of Ehren Kruger avoids feeling formula (sorry). The story, the action and the publishing are all clear and perfect, taking place on a soundtrack and an increasingly busy partition (created by the inimitable Hans Zimmer, of course). In short: he governs! The best part? It does not matter that you are a superfront F1 which can name each background cameo (of which there is a lot), Or you have no idea what “box, box” means – it’s the ultimate summer blockbuster for the public looking for a breathtaking drama, globetrotter, cutting edge. With Life of ChuckDirector Mike Flanagan is moving away from horror – but not from Stephen King. The adaptation of the novel by King 2020 tells the story of Charles “Chuck” Krantz, an accountant whose life is cut in a heartbreaking way at 39 years of a brain tumor. But it is far from a simple story. The three acts of the film, told in the reverse chronological order, weave in science fiction, fantasy and the supernatural elements that can make you scratch your head at the start and tear it at the end. It is difficult to say much more about the film without giving the twist – but we can tell you that it is worth looking at the dance number of five and a half minutes of the star Tom Hiddleston alone. —Ashley Boucher

Another darling, Marlee Matlin: more alone Tells the story of the deaf actress Marlee Matlin and her difficulties as a child born to hear parents to make history as the first deaf actor to win an Oscar and beyond. The director and producer Shoshannah Stern is also deaf, which allows her to tell the story of Matlin from the point of view of the deaf. The most spoken film of the year, and for a good reason. Ryan Coogler’s Sinners Sulmed his teeth in our neck in April and has not let go since. Located in the Mississippi of the 1930s, and inspired the director’s real experiences in the Jim Crow South, the film is much more than your typical vampire story. In fact, the Vamps do not even show their real fangs before the third act, which culminates in an ardent confrontation and soaked in blood of epic proportions. Instead, we spend most of our time with not one but two Michael B. Jordans, playing twins Smoke and Stack, two product wires returned home from Chicago with plans to open a joint juke for the local community. Sexy, frightening and attractive, the film explores the themes of race, ancestry and violence, all on propulsive blues music that forms its beating heart. —Mike Miller

You may be one of the many who has become a fan of Eva Victor in the past 10 years due to her satirical and deeply funny tweets and her viral videos. Its debut as director of features Sorry, babyIn which she also features and wrote, is plagued by her lively humor, all superimposed throughout a deep examination of a traumatic event that forever changes her character, Agnes. Laughter is a necessary tool – adaptation mechanism, even – to help Agnes to pass through life while it sails in a myriad of emotions. It is complicated and modest in the same pace, which makes this favorite this year that of the most thoughtful and unforgettable of the year. —ReRrarad Hall
Thunderbolts *
Gracieuse of Marvel Studios
We get it, the “superhero fatigue” is a real thing. But superheroes, Thunderbolts are not – and that is part of the reason why the last of Marvel is one of his best years. Centered on Yelena Belova by Florence Pugh, which we find lost, depressed and ready to get out of the assassins industry, she heads a new team of unlikely anti -hero to face the person trying to remove them – while facing her own interior demons. The unexpected emotional intestinal punch, as well as huge laughs and an exciting action, easily makes one of the best trips in theaters this year. You now know that you know that the asterisk of the title is New AvengersAnd we can’t wait to see Yelena, Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), the American agent / John Walker (Wyatt Russell), Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian (David Harbor) and Ava Starr / Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) led the franchise in her next phase. —ReRrarad Hall
