‘They’re running scared!’ Dillian Whyte picked Moses Itauma despite Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker offers | Boxing News
Dillian Whyte revealed that he was offered revenge with Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker, but adopted the “risk” of a Moses Itauma fight.
The former WBC acting champion agreed to face the perspective of heavy goods vehicles heated in red Itauma in Saudi Arabia on August 16.
But Whyte admitted that he had also discussed potential fights against the long-term British rival Joshua and the New Zealand Parker.
“You know what, I was offered three names, AJ, Parker and Moses Itauma,” said exclusively Whyte Sky Sports.
“These guys played, Parker was greedy, they did not want to be realistic on the split. AJ was not ready, obviously, they try to keep their options open, I am options for anyone.
“I think Moses Itauma, nobody wants to fight it. My whole career has been, I have always taken the fights that nobody wanted to adopt and nothing has changed now. It is an opportunity, it is an excellent opportunity. Winning this fight, I am back as I never left.
“Everyone is afraid of him, all these other alleged heavy goods vehicles who are proud to fight harsh someone, they run frightened to fight this guy.
“We are in the field of struggle, we are in the field to have fun, we are in the company to give a good fight to fans.”
Joshua, who has not fought since a direct elimination defeat against Daniel Dubois last September, required surgery on an annoying elbow.
Parker, whose promoters did not propose any comments in response to the affirmations of Whyte when they are contacted by Sky Sports Newshas not yet announced his next fight after a stop victory against Martin Bakole in February.
“I would have loved to fight AJ because he is the only one in this list that has already beaten me,” said Whyte.
“I beat it once [in the amateur ranks]He beat me once, I would like to fight it again. But AJ, his injuries and surgeries and all that, they didn’t know if he was going to be ready.
“He was not going to be ready, so I said to myself:” Okay, I’m not going to wait. “”
“The Joseph Parker fight is Parker being greedy. When I fought him years ago, he was a bit on a sequence of defeats.
“I gave him a certain split, I was fair and I was fair. And then he is greedy.
“And I said to myself:” Do you want to fight someone who really beat you or are you just in for money? “And clearly, he’s just in for money.
“So I said,” Okay, okay, no worries.
“Then with Moses, I said to myself:” hell yeah, I will certainly take the fight. “”
When asked if he could still face Joshua in the future, Whyte said: “I don’t know and I don’t really care to be honest. I am not 27 years old, I don’t have time to sit down to wait for these guys.
“I have always known to fight the best fighters of my time, and everyone delirits on Moses Itauma, saying that he is the best fighter since Mike Tyson.
“If I can see myself against him and beat him, what is it said of me?” I have always been a risk lessee, guy.
“It’s just another of those things that make sense to me. People might think that I am crazy or that I am stupid, as some of these guys have said, but I have a different state of mind, a different approach.
“I was a person born and I was a victim of life. So, for me, it’s nothing to take risks. I prefer to take a risk and fail to sit there thinking about it.”
